ROUND™ is an application-focused Training of Trainers (ToT) looped training delivery methodology designed to create a measurable and standardized training performance, as well as provide the trainer with the required skills and tools to:
• Meet training objectives as the trainer will focus on the training scenario by providing consistent delivery, reducing wasted time and energy, and avoiding unnecessary activities and topics.
• Reach maximum training ROI by enhancing the trainer to fine-tune training scenarios and ensuring effective training depending on the need.
• Improve training proficiency and learning processes by providing the trainer with the required skills to guarantee skill transfer, ensuring skill retention through measured trainee performance.
Regardless of the duration of the training course or session, it always consists of multiple ROUND™s.
Each ROUND™ handles a specific topic, skill, or concept.
Each stage within ROUND™ is directly relevant to the course’s objectives or the training requirements.
The focus of each stage is flexible to meet the training performance criteria and industry needs and can be adjusted by the training beneficiary or subject matter experts (SMEs).
Introduces the training topic efficiently to attract attention and prepare the trainees for the new concept or skill. Therefore, it is recommended to display the training content after this introduction. In addition, it's recommended for this stage to use at most 10% of the total allocated time of the complete ROUND™.
This stage includes: preparing, warming up, grabbing attention, initiating, revising, and linking.
Presents the content sequentially, allowing the participant to acquire new knowledge, skills, or both. Since this stage does not include any hands-on practice, it's recommended to use at most 20% of the total allocated time of the complete ROUND™.
This stage includes: explaining the content, providing information and details, outlining procedural steps, and emphasizing important points.
Transforms what was presented and demonstrated in Stage 2 to imitate actual fieldwork for the participants and immerse them in the topic by applying and practicing the concepts. During this prime stage, skill transfer occurs. Therefore, 40% of the total allocated time of the complete ROUND™ is recommended.
This stage includes: experimenting, performing, practicing, applying, and trying hands-on.
In addition to linking the skills and information to the fieldwork, this stage aims to provide feedback and control the quality of individual or group performance. This stage offers quality checks and communicates feedback to ensure proper skill transfer. It's recommended for this stage to use at most 20% of the total allocated time of the complete ROUND™.
This stage includes: evaluation, explaining exceptions, analyzing, solving application problems, and providing feedback to participants.
Wraps up and summarizes key points and topics presented through the previous ROUND™ stages. This stage also explains where the newly acquired skills fit in the big picture. It's recommended for this stage to use at most 10% of the total allocated time of the complete ROUND™.
This stage includes: reviewing and linking, exploring career prospects, providing further readings, extra learning, and summarizing.
The learning path with ROUND™ is not only limited to training.
ROUND™ ensures the delivery process is to be utilized in both academic and professional fields tailored to meet the needs of organizations and individuals alike.
